Lost River Orchard is a small farm and artesian winery specializing in making small batch craft ciders.  Well, we are on our way to being just that, anyway.  We purchased the farm in 2012 with the intention of having a reprieve from city life, or Kim did at least.  Kim quickly saw that Jim had plans to make this farm work to our advantage as soon as possible.  We are just beginning our journey and are excited to plan for the future and begin experimenting with product development. We will need a lot of help with all of this.

We intend on using apples from our very own orchard, which will be planted in the spring of 2014.  We plan on pressing our apples in the traditional style, using an antique rack and cloth press.   We farm and ferment on 49 acres along Howard’s Lick Run, a tributary of the Lost River.
